Laila Khalid, DMD

A Holden dentist driven by art, science, and continuous education, and carrying deep respect for every patient's story.

Dr. Khalid chose dentistry because it sits at the crossroads of two things she loves deeply, science and art. She brings both into every treatment she delivers, the precision of a clinician and the eye of someone who genuinely cares about beauty, perfection, and harmony. For her, a great working day is about how you’ll feel when you finally stop hiding your smile. 

She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the prestigious Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, and continues to stay on top of the latest advancements in the dental field through study clubs and trainings for her and her top-tier team.

Beyond the clinical chair, Dr. Khalid has contributed to the field through her published research on the use of CAD/CAM technology in implant surgery, reflecting her commitment to advancing the standard of care her patients receive.

When she’s not at Confidentistry, you’ll find her traveling the world with her family, deep in a leadership podcast, or putting her love of interior design to good use. She’s a devoted wife to her husband, an internal medicine physician, and a proud mom to their two children.

Hi! I’m Alana, I’ve been a dental hygienist for nearly 20 years, and I truly love what I do. I know that walking into a dental office isn’t always easy, so I make it my mission to help every patient feel relaxed, comfortable, and truly heard from the moment they sit down.

I’ve been told I have a great memory for details, an endless supply of stories and questions, and a knack for putting people at ease—qualities that help me build strong, lasting connections with my patients.

Confidentistry is a special place to be. Dr. Khalid creates an inspiring, supportive environment that allows us to grow both personally and professionally. I look forward to being your hygienist for many years to come.

Outside the office, I stay busy and fulfilled. I’m a proud mom to my daughter Georgie, and I cherish time with close friends and family. I started a monthly Supper Club with friends, and we recently built a tiny home in our backyard for my mom so she could live nearby. I’m always on the move and always reading!

With over 25 years of clinical experience as a dental hygienist, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Alongside my work here at Confidentistry, I also teach part-time at a local dental hygiene program, where I have the privilege of mentoring the next generation of oral health professionals.

I take great pride in being part of the Confidentistry team, where I’m continually inspired by Dr. Khalid’s leadership, commitment to excellence, and personalized approach to dentistry.

Working alongside Dr. Khalid and the team has deepened my passion for the field and reaffirmed my belief in the importance of building lasting relationships with patients through trust, education, and individualized care.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my two children and find balance by hiking and connecting with nature.

Treatment Plan Coordinator

With a background in dental hygiene and years of patient care experience, I now serve as the Treatment Coordinator and Front Office Administrator at Confidentistry. While I no longer treat patients clinically, my hygiene background gives me a unique perspective when helping patients navigate complex dental treatment plans.

I love being the bridge between our clinical team and our patients—explaining procedures, answering questions, and helping anxious patients feel at ease. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping people restore their confidence—not just in their smiles, but in dentistry as a whole.

I’m proud to work under the leadership of Dr. Laila Khalid. Her vision of integrity, professionalism, and compassion fosters a culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and work-life balance. Her dedication to patient-centered care and advanced technology ensures everyone at Confidentistry feels supported and valued. It’s more than just a workplace—it’s a place to grow, connect, and make a meaningful impact.

Outside the office, I enjoy gardening, yoga, reading nonfiction, and being a mom. Whether tending to plants or supporting patients, I’m happiest when I’m helping others grow and thrive.

Hi! I’m April, and I’m proud to be Dr. Khalid’s assistant here at Confidentistry. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is being part of the life-changing smile transformations we create. It’s truly inspiring to witness patients walk in feeling nervous or unsure, and leave with newfound confidence—ready to share their smiles with the world.

Being part of the Confidentistry team means being part of something meaningful—and I’m grateful to help make every patient’s experience a positive one.

Outside the office, I love spending time outdoors, especially hiking with my dog, Luna. I’m also a devoted mom to my two wonderful kids, Dylan and Julia, and we’re always finding ways to make the most of our time together.
